Wabing’s flexibility section has programs that make it simple for you to improve your flexibility a little bit every day. We combine various stretching and/or self-myofascial release exercises in our programs to release trigger points, stretch the body, and achieve deeper muscular relaxation.
When tension in muscles, fascia, and connective tissues is released, blood and lymphatic fluid circulate more freely throughout the body. Good circulation boosts the body’s natural ability to recover and heal itself, which can help reduce inflammation and pain.
Stretching increases body awareness and the mind-body connection because fascia and connective tissue not only provide stability and hold the various parts of the body (skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, organs, blood vessels) together, but it is also an important sensory organ.
We use the Waber and lacrosse balls as tools for self-myofascial release (SMR) and stretching. The Waber is specifically designed to relieve tension in the neck and thoracic spine. Following each SMR exercise, we often perform a simpler stretching exercise adapted to the specific area we worked with.
The Waber is used in WabeOffice to alleviate tension in the thoracic spine and neck. When we sit in front of a computer or are stressed, these muscles frequently tense, frequently resulting in tension headaches, neck and shoulder pain, and poor posture.
A Wabing session typically begins with a general warm-up routine known as the “Wabe Warm Up.” The routine is designed to prepare the body for activating the neurogenic tremor and to gradually increase a person’s level of flexibility.
